Thanks, and the good thing it's got me to know this team much better than I ever knew any sim team I had before in any sport. It's also help speed up my understanding of the sim much faster than usual. I'm about to start with a new team in a new league, schedule was just posted tonight. I already made 2 moves before the first game was played!

So we just lost the opening game of the FSJU series, 4-1. Pelty gets the win to go to 16-18 with Rivera's 38th save, although Mariano's ERA (3.88) is nothing to write home about. Leever takes the loss. Poncedeleon pitched a scoreless 9th, but he's got an ERA of 1.99 now, so I must have missed when he finally got scored on. Let's see....okay. He got hammered in the 15-5 loss to the Red Sox. 5 ER in 2/3 of an inning.

Gonzalez with a solo HR to start the scoring in the top of the second. We tied it in the bottom half on an RBI from Leach who reached on an error by Marte at 2B. They got 3 in the 4th. RBI single from Pelty and a 2 run single by the Bambino. 4-1, and that's how it stayed. Marwin Gonzalez was 3 for 4 with that HR, 2 runs, and one RBI. We got a whopping 3 hits, all singles, including one from Leever. Leach got his 92nd RBI.

Game 2 of the series Friday afternoon. Cy Young (21-9, 2.77) for them and for us it's deGrom (4-0, 3.62).

We took a bad beating today from FSJU, a 14-2 loss. deGrom takes his first loss, and Cy Young gets the win.

Barry Bonds was 4 for 4 and David Justice had 5 RBI. We had just 7 hits and nobody had more than one. Hosmer homered.

Final game of the series this evening as we look to not get swept. We are now just 9 games over .500 at 79-70, and are back under +100 runs for the season. With 2 four game series coming up against the 2 best teams in either league, we might have trouble now even winning 85 games, and the RD of 100+ runs looks to be in serious jeopardy also.

FSJU has 1909 Cy Morgan (22-8, 2.94) on the mound tonight, while we are throwing Roy Mitchell (15-9, 3.75)

I see as you come down to the last 10-15 games of the season that pitchers take much longer to get over fatigue. My closer is at 100 since I haven't needed him yet this series, but only one other guy in the pen has a GREEN number, and he's at 90.

FSJU completes the sweep with a 7-1 win tonight. They outscored us 25-4 in the 3 games. Cy Morgan wins and goes to 23-8. Mitchell takes the loss and falls to 15-10.

Prince Fielder homered for the winners. Two hits for Dickey, and Boudreau with his 60th double.

Okay, on the overnight we start a 4 game series at home against Balking 2 New Orleans. They are once again tied atop our division with Target Best. Both teams are 101-49. We will have Frank Corridon (7-5, 3.26) on the mound. They are going with the same pitcher we just faced on FSJU, 1909 Cy Morgan (19-3, 2.95).

We scraped by Balking just now, 9-8 to even the series. Dickey with a 3 run walkoff blast in the 9th against Roy Face as Rivera was removed for a PH in the top of the inning. Leever got pounded, but Kontos went 2 scoreless and then Fetters went one scoreless and got the win.

We were down here 6-0. It was have been easy for these guys to quit, the way the last part of the season has been going, but we battled back and won. Leach got his 94th RBI.

1. Bill Dickey - 3 run walkoff HR to win the game.
2, Tris Speaker - 3 hits, 3 RBI.
3. George Kontos - 2 scoreless innings to keep us in the game.

Meanwhile it's game 3 of the Balking series this evening. Eddie Plank (20-7, 2.95) for Balking. We've got 2016 deGrom (4-1, 4.79) who got clobbered last time out, and is only at 96 right now.

Target lost while Balking beat us, so they are tied again atop the division. Final game of this series on the overnight. We've got Roy Mitchell (15-10, 3.82) going. They are throwing Chief Bender (17-9, 3.54).

Okay, we took the final game of the Balking series, 5-4. So we split the 4 game series. Roy Mitchell finally gets his 16th win, and Chief Bender takes the lost. Fetters geta a save, but it was a bogus save where he entered with a 3 run lead and gave up 2 runs.

We got RBI hits from Cullenbine and Simpson in the bottom of the first to take a 2-0 lead. Alomar's 2 run HR tied it at 2-2 in the top of the 4th. We then got the lead back in the bottom of that frame on an RBI hit from Hosmer. We then got 2 more in the 7th on an RBI double by Boudreau and and RBI single from Dickey. That was double # 61 for Lou, and Speaker got his 50th double in this game too.

Poncedeleon pitched a scoreless 7th and then Fetters came on in the 8th for a 1-2-3 inning. In the 9th Fetters ended up giving up 2 runs and had the bases juiced with Murray batting. He was able to get Murray to ground to Agganis at 1B to end the game.

THREE STARS
1. Roy Mitchell - Goes 6 innings and allows just 2 runs for the win.
2. Roy Cullenbine - 3 for 4, run, RBI
3. Tris Speaker - single, double, 2 runs scored
