Boston Bruins forward
Marc Savard has been placed on long-term injured reserve with a broken foot, the team announced on Wednesday.
Savard, who is the top scorer for Boston this year with four goals and three assists in seven games, is expected to miss four to six weeks with the injury.
The 32-year-old Ottawa native has led the Bruins in scoring for the last three seasons.
In 2008-09, a Savard had 25 goals and 63 assists for 88 points in 82 games.
