One night does not make a season. The Flames have already used up their alotted win total this season.

That was much more in line with what we expected. A complete ***-kicking of Carolina, both on the scoreboard and in the fights.

Seeing Andrew Alberts made me remember how much we ripped off Philly in that trade. The guy can't skate, control the puck, play defense or fight.

i are smart!

prediction: last season was a career season for the whole bruins squad. they will be worse, but not because they lost kessel (altho that will add to it)

timmy thomas will come back down to earth and patty bergeron will not get much better than last season.

they'll make the playoffs and then lose in the first round

Boston Bruins forward Marc Savard has been placed on long-term injured reserve with a broken foot, the team announced on Wednesday.

Savard, who is the top scorer for Boston this year with four goals and three assists in seven games, is expected to miss four to six weeks with the injury.

The 32-year-old Ottawa native has led the Bruins in scoring for the last three seasons.

In 2008-09, a Savard had 25 goals and 63 assists for 88 points in 82 games.

Forward Trent Whitfield has been recalled from Providence.
