The power play would prove to be the difference as BLOKKEN converted on 3 of 5 opportunities while Hellsinki would whiff on all 5 of their chances.

Jonas Ledenbach surrendered all 3 goals stopping 15 before being pulled for veteran Scotty Holthoff who saw his first ice of the season. Holthoff did stop all 8 shots he faced.

BLOKKEN got goals from Gerry Stamos & Than Richison but overmanagement by the general manger recently has this team with a gaping hole for their 2nd goalie as recent acquisition Sonny Anos surrendered 4 goals on 24 shots to the leagues worst team. Couple that with a 1st period injury to Isiah Starrett (who would later be released) and this team was in trouble early and often this game.
