I need to get a good pinch hitter before all the really good ones are gone. If my math is right, I think I can afford this guy and still get who I am targeting in Round 25. I can skip those before me and select...

1980 Broderick Perkins, Bench4 $1,104,847
A couple of rounds away for me, but he would have been my first choice for my bench. Numba one to pinch hit. Nice pick.

Thanks. Needed at least one decent pinch hitter.

Too early to start sales pitches for our players? ‘90 Boggs is a classic dwelling that doesn’t offer much flash, but he’ll provide a comfortable dwelling for your team at a “can’t beat” price!
There's a 2B who is ranked 7th among all 30 players at the position in OPS+. He's a switch hitter and has the following normalized slash line. .308 / .374 / .454 - and he's relatively inexpensive, costing only $4.7 million. He's not going to win any gold gloves but you can survive with below-average defense at 2B. He's a steal this late.

At the time, I had '67 Bunning penciled in as my SP1, but that's changed now. In retrospect, I wish I had taken '67 Pete Rose instead of '68 Clarke.

Damn - I just realized nobody can draft '67 Rose.

Never mind
