Donal Driver's an idiot on the other hand

"Yes, they are beatable. That was a proven fact tonight," said Driver. "The last two weeks they've been blowing people out and we came in here and gave them a battle. If we don't turn the ball over and if they don't get that big kick-off return before halftime; they're down seven points. If we don't give those up, we win. So, the biggest thing is we beat ourselves once again."

seriously? - keep making excuses haters and we'll keep taking the wins - could you ever see a Pats player saying something like this? Do you think Tom Brady would go up to the podium after a loss and talk about how another team is beatable after he just lost to them? No. The Patriots see a loss as a loss. They don't spin it in all these different directions. Maybe if Driver and the Packers focused on themselves after a loss instead of whether another team is beatable then they wouldn't be on the outside looking in on the playoffs...

Packers stomp Giants 45-17, picking off Eli four times and recovering two Giant fumbles. McCarthy surely had them ready to play this week. If they can beat Chicago next week, the Packers get a wild card spot.

good luck with that.

It's always possible we'll find a running game in the next six days, right?

Packers/Bears moved to 3:15. Guess they didn't want to subject the fans to a night game at Lambeau, because it is clearly the premier matchup of the week.

Rams/Seahawks? ZZZZZZzzzzz

Interesting schedule for the final weekend, all match-ups are within the division and all games are Sunday afternoon, no Thursday, Saturday, Sunday night or Monday.

Kerm...  they did not make it the night game, because if the Giants lose to the Redskins, the Packers are in.  The game could be essentially meaningless.  There is no outcome from any other game on Sunday that can make the Rams/Seahawks anything else but a playoff game.  Had nothing to do with weather.  And I think the Packers are a VERY dangerous team for ANY team.  Their defense is well above average, and their offense with Rodgers is LIGHTS OUT.  They can beat ANYONE, ANYWHERE.  They (other than that team from New England) are the best team in the NFL.  They are so deep and talented.  Any other team in the NFL that sustained all the injuries that the Packers did this season would be 5-10 at this point.  Losing Grant left them with a fullback and Brandon Jackson at tailback and they STILL light up the scoreboard.  Amazing to me that every team KNOWS they will throw it all over the field, yet they are still the best passing team in the NFL.  Rodgers is nothing short of great.  McCarthy takes a lot of heat here, but IMO he is doing a great job this season.

if the lousy Jets offense can put up 30+ on the Bears D, the Pack should drop 50

and, yes, GB is a dangerous playoff team

even though they are still a bunch of over celebrating jackwagons

But you would have thought they would put up points in the first game but didn't.  Though the Bears pass D has been terrible in 2 of the last 3 games, the run defense has been solid.

GB on paper is one of those teams that everyone expects to make a run, happens every year - if they don't get a running game going, a lot of "experts" are gonna be left with egg on their faces.

The Packers wont try to run.  Maybe 15-20 carries.  That means 45-55 dropbacks for Rodgers.  If the Bears get the same pressure on Rodgers that they got on Brady and Sanchez, they are in for a world of hurt.  Their secondary is not stellar.  Their linebackers are awesome.  Peppers has to dominate like he did in the first half of the season.  If he doesnt....   look for many Lambeau Leaps.

And yes.  On paper, GB looks awesome.  But remember....  they lost their leading tackler and defensive playcaller for the season in Barnett.  They lost their all-pro TE for the season.  They lost their 1200yd rusher for the season.  They lost their starting LT (who protects the blind side) in Tauscher for the season.  They lost Rodgers for essentially a game and a half.  They lost Driver for 4 games.  They lost Bigby for 8 games.  Not many teams would still be in a position for postseason with all those losses.  Even with all those injuries, they lost 6 games by a grand total of 20 points.  As Driver, Bigby and Rodgers now come back, they look very very good.  For the life of me, I dont know how they didnt go after Marshawn Lynch earlier in the season.  Because you are right.  If they cant run in the postseason, it could hurt them.  Not because they wont score.  They will.  They wont be able to run out the clock as effectively.  Ask the 90s Houston Oilers.
