Thanks for the cross-conference props, Rusticity. Sorry we didn't get a game scheduled this year, with the conference looking so tough, I figured I'd dial down the non-conference schedule a little.

Update 8 of the top 11 / 9 of the top 15.

Franklin got trounced in its meeting with DeSales. At 1am as I spoke to comcast customer service regarding the outage, the rep didn't seem to understand the urgency of the impending DeSales/Franklin game at 2:17am. Early season losses are always good for humbling the youngsters.

I have a relatively easy OOC schedule. Should go undefeated - may take on 1 loss. Of course, we will see how good the Bible Thumpers are once we start conference play.

I thought this was worth posting b/c of the clump from 83 to 110. By the end of the season, at least 1 of those will jump up to around 50... who will it be?

The south division is just filthy. I wonder if we can score five NT bids from the south. We should get four with VJ, York, SMM, and the Bible Thumpers. I dunno if I can sneak the Hood in or not. Gotta think I've got three more wins in me during the regular season (Chestnut Hill, Salisbury, Marymount?). It would just be a matter of my RPI holding up after losses to York, SMM, VJ, Catholic, and two to the Thumpers.

7 wins in the South will most likely make it in. And btw, after you administered a whooping on my boys in the first game, I wouldn't quite chalk VJ up as a loss!

The South is sick. Wow. We've got a chance to not only get 5 (and I predict we will get 5), but also to have three teams with really high seeds.

We can get 5 from the south if...

- I can stay over .500. Chances are I lose my next three (Catholic, BB, York) to drop to 11-11. Will need to win three of four after that to ensure at least 14-12.

- The Salisbury game doesn't drop my RPI too far. They're the only RPI killer we've got and I still have to play them. Chances are my RPI is in the 50s after that one leaving me with an average record and a borderline NT RPI.

I hope you're right because I'd love to make the NT (especially after the debacle that was last season). Chances are this will only be a PIT team though. We'll get at least 4 from the dsivision as well as Catholic, so all is still good. Besides, the CAC can't win both tournaments if nobody makes the PIT

I like my team and they are poised for a big run in the tourney, but we cannot win the big games in our conference. I am afraid we could run into the wrong team that matches up well against us.

just looking at your formula for the conference wins thing, andrew-- I think maybe you should try to include 550+ players somehow, too, as all of my 500+ players were really between 560-575. Think that might be the difference in the 5 wins projected and the 8 I have (with at least one or two more theoretically winnable games to go).
