Amen to that, Chuck.  At the same time, I find myself getting pretty damn excited about the CEC.  The real treat will be for folks who have never seen a game at a place built in the last 10-15 years.  Everything I've read give the impression that this place really is going to be one of the very best buildings in the league in almost every conceivable way.

Sweet!  Loved Asham's game last year, even as he wore the dreaded orange.  Solid signing.

Dunno. Sure, it makes us a little tougher to play against, and Asham can be counted on for 10 goals or so, but this is going to take away from Tangradi or someone else who needs to step up to the NHL to see if they have what it takes to make it. Also, we have Rupp and Goddard, so it's not like we were desperate for anyone of Asham's stature.

Well, it tells me that Talbot and Kennedy are going to be counted on for top 6 roles, as is Staal.

Or maybe Talbot centers the 3rd line with Cooke and Asham and Rupp and Godard take turns sitting.  They also may feel they can cut Godard loose now.

I just hate to see them break up the Cooke, Staal, Kennedy line.

Mike Comrie is in the house. Low risk, high reward. Signs for the minimum instead of taking a chance on a tryout at training camp. Hillary Duff is in the house now as well. I predict 25 goals for MC this season, provided he stays healthy. Now we need to work on getting Carrie Underwood there as well! I wonder if Ottawa will trade Mike Fisher?

Also, Billy Guerin is going to skate with the Flyers on a training camp tryout contract. Dunno how they are going to pay him, as I believe they are over the cap right now. Gonna hate to see Billy G in that dreaded Orange and Black!

This is going to be my favorite team/roster they've put together since Tocchet joined a loaded team in 92.

LOTS of scrappy, tough as nails guys to blend in with the skill guys.  Can't wait for the season to start!

Goals and grinding....That's what I like to see. Maybe Malkin will crack the 100 point, 200 PIM club this year.

still only have five d-men signed though.  is there a rookie coming up?  or is mckee gonna re-sign for cheap?  :>

They're counting on Ben Lovejoy to step in as the 6th d man. Also perhaps Engelland if Lovejoy can't cut it.
