Cool Corn~The Ivy League is better now, but the MVC has better baseline prestige. And its got me, which is pretty much the only thing anyone needs to know, right? (ha)

Admittedly, the MVC could be fun, too. My dream school (once I start moving, I'm a Lawrence alum) is Northwestern, as I'm from the North Side of Chicago, but I'm not sure about my path there yet.

Whatever.....I have a single dream power conference job too, but building up a mid-major conference sounds fun too if I can get the right group of people together for long enough. And the MVC base prestige is good enough that it should be possible to do without a herculean effort.

Here are my conference predections:

North Division

Creighton 13-3

Indiana State 12-4

Southern Illinois 11-5

Evansville 5-11

Bradley 5-11

Drake 4-12

Southern Division

NIU 13-3

Wichita State 10-6

Gardner-Webb 8-8

WKU 7-9

Illinois State 5-11

Missouri State 3-13

We'll see how I do this year. I'll take 2 NT and 2 PT berths for Creighton, NIU, SIU and Wichita State.

Reinsel, I would agree with most of that.

My changes would be to flip SIU and us this season... and drop Ind St one spot. I think Emy or a good human coach gets Ind St to 12-4... I think the sim will play the youth behind the starters more minutes and allow some of us to beat them that Emy would slap down.

I'd give SIU 13-3

Creighton 11-5 (only if puberty gets here soon)

Ind St 10-6

Evans. 6-10 .. one of those wins on Ind St.

and all the rest the same except one more win for a human in the south other than NIU and W-St.

edit* and I'd love to see 4 post-season teams... but I'm afraid we won't be in there... unless the kids voices all start to change and we get hot and win the CT... our RPI is gonna be pretty rough.

Yeah maybe only 3. I have such a hard time figuring out Sim teams that seem good on paper.

Looking at my conference predictions, a couple things are clear.

1) The sim has no idea how to coach the talent at Indiana State

2) I am going to do better than 10-6.

3) WKU is better than 7-9 as evidenced by their win over NIU

4) Creighton has struggled more than I thought with their youth.

5) Evansville has done better than I expected.

We'll see how the finish goes.

Lets get a schedule set up for exibition game #2 of season #36 with the Ivy.

Then lets pick a week for the real deal in season #37.
