You wouldn't "have to do" anything. But when trades are made i.e. chuck roast for bill board we have no idea if it is a fair trade. If it is Mickey Mantle for Bob Ueker we know it is lopsided. To figure out your players stats you just match their range with their name.

How and when can I change the AAA guys to real Padre names?

I'll set up a new post either late tonight or in the morning, depending on when I finish work.

sloadrock, you can change the names after the first WIS scheduling cycle following entry of the team. WIS processes league schedules (and generates AAA) at about 11:30 am and 11:30 pm EDT each day, so by midnight tonight, if you click on the GM page and then on rename, you should see a list of all your AAA players and can rename them.
