I wonder how SIM decides whether a two-way player is in the database as a fielder or as a pitcher. For example, Ed Daily has a pretty good season as a pitcher in 1890, but instead SIM went for his crappy season as an OF.

I don't know. It would be nice if they could make it work so guys that did both could do so here. Babe Ruth has a season (1918 I think) where he has some nice pitching that can't be used.
