You've used that argument before. It's invalid. The veteran users are going to get the better players no matter the guidelines. . You know this, I know this, everyone knows this. Stop using that argument.
Well I guess it doesn't hurt them then. They're fine either way.

Still hurts nearly 2/3 of the returning coaches. New coaches are unaffected.

Delaying signings in the 2nd session is just a bad idea for the majority of the user base.

Still helps 100% of users changing jobs. Still helps encourage users to move up and not stay parked at D3 and thereby helping clear room for noobs to succeed.

100% of the users changing jobs is far less than 2/3 of the user base. Job changing sucks. We know this. Why would we encourage making the game shittier for 62% of the users not changing jobs?

"No players sign in the first 2-3 of cycles of the second period" so that coaches who totally f up in the first period aren't penalized for their ineptitude. That is a truly bad idea.
While agreeing with spud isn't very popular, this is a D1 only "fix". It actually hurts D2 teams trying to sign D1 players and D3 teams trying to sign D2 players. So, basically, it hurts 2/3 of the user base. How on earth is that a good idea?
I agree with Mike on this. Such a change hurts DII and DIII. The real solution is to go back to the way it used to be with job changes...a new coach joins at the beginning of period 1 rather than the beginning of this newly-created period 2.

And 62% is just a ballpark number. 300+ users, 100ish at D1, 20ish changing jobs. That 120ish are helped while the 180ish are affected negatively.

The math sez "bad idea".

So get rid of the 2 periods completely? AGREE

Yeah, two periods don't work. Let us recruit and cap some 550 D3, 600 D2, and it's done. Now, let's mix it up and let D3 draft whenever they want.

Yup. The 2nd period doesn't work for recruiting nor job changes. Get rid of it.

I never liked split phases for recruiting. Think it was wrong solution for wrong problem

BUT, it aint easy or simple to change that

We're on page 5. The thread was almost derailed on pages 1 and 2. Anything over 3 pages is bonus time.

Your expectations for staying on topic is too high.

let's be real guys. Easy or not. Simple or not. This stuff ain't gonna happen. Might as well have pie in the sky dreams and have fun with it.

To be honest, the "when we have time" thing really annoyed me. I get trying to keep the forums from going "too far" but, if you have time to monitor the forums(chastise two users, delete numerous posts, delete several entire threads, respond cryptically, respond meaninglessly, etc, etc), there is time on the table. I doubt WIS SUPPORT is a programmer but time and money is being used to perform a somewhat meaningless task. Use that resource better.

And I know you guys LOVE to see WifS respond in the forums but, as I just noted, it's meaningless. I'm sure MOST of you would prefer to see action over words.
