On a somewhat related note, I would love to hear from the left where Trump has hurt our democratic process. Dino has alluded to Russian collusion, but there really hasn't been any hard evidence released that supports this yet. In fact, I feel the Roger Stone arrest points to the contrary. I have seen the wikileaks argument alluded to, I have yet hear anyone deny the information released. While I do not believe that the ends justify the means, I think more information about candidates is a good thing.

I do not believe Trump has hurt our democracy in the slightest. Change my mind.
Reversal of many norms.

Well, that doesn't answer anything. What norms have been reversed? Slavery was the norm across the world for thousands of years. That has since been reversed? Looking at America specifically, did that threaten our democracy?

I almost ****** my pants laughing the first time I read something blaming Jill Stein for Hillary's loss. Reasons Clinton lost according to the left:

Russia, FaceBook, James Comey, The DNC, Jill Stein, Sexism, A Democratic predecessor, Bernie, Wikileaks, the debate questions, journalists, campaign funding, low-information voters, women under pressure from men

The problem is very few people actually blame Hillary.
I blame HRC for her loss. She is almost as unlikable as Mr Trump, and that is saying a lot. I'm sure, for many, she is more unlikable.
I would for sure Clinton is more unlikable. Trump has some charisma and charm and does a phenomenal job of connecting with normal people. This is what won him the rust belt. I think most rationally thinking people can agree that's he's fake, but a lot of people don't care to look more than skin deep. I feel the general consensus is that Hillary comes across as arrogant and pretentious.
If she was a man they would say she's confident and assertive.

NOBODY takes blame for their errors or losses in Government, or in anything, anymore. It's always somebody or something else's fault.
Just another accepted f'd-up norm in today's moral-free, everybody-do-what-they-want, trophy-for-everybody society.
all3, I agree with you for the most part. No one takes responsibility anymore. Where I think we probably disagree is why no one takes responsibility anymore. I'm pretty sure you blame "the libs". I doubt any one group is to blame. It is just society in general.
While I do believe Libs are the ones who starting making deflecting responsibility "acceptable", and that HRC widely embraced and spread that practice, I don't condone it for anyone. Doing it just because "Everyone else is doing it." is a lame, lazy, juvenile excuse. It's what 5 year olds used to tell their parents, but now it seems to be "everyone's" favorite excuse. If you scr*w-up or lose, man-up and learn from it, so it hopefully doesn't happen again.

She could say it all she wants and it wouldn't make it true, but hey she lies about a lot of other stuff why not this too. There are plenty of confident and assertive women and she is not one of them.

The GOP in general want to restrict voting rights across the board...he is the head of the GOP.

We should be making it easier to vote, not harder.

While he is unconstitutional in some of his remarks and actions about the media, he is not destroying our democracy here. Our media is just as strong as it was before he took office and will be just as strong when he leaves.

The left has claimed voter restriction well before Trump ever took office. This is nothing new and does not show that Trump is a threat to our democracy.

Curious as to why you think the Trump campaign had so many contacts with Russians...why they lied about so many contacts with Russians. Why the RNC changed to a more pro-Russia official platform after Trump won the nomination. Why Trump has gone out of his way to make sure his communication/meetings with Putin are undocumented. Why Donald Jr was fishing for a backchannel. Why the Russian hackers didn't release the sensitive RNC emails they hacked. Why did Trump lie about the Trump Tower Moscow deal? Why did the Treasury lift sanctions against Rusal?

Even if you think nothing happened, you have to admit there's a whole lot of smoke.

So you have a president calling for the jailing of journalists, the suspension of due process, the firing/jailing of his political foes, and the nominations of judges who are positively unqualified for their positions as no big deal to Democracy?

That's just a taste of some of the **** he pulls. He ******* threatens private citizens with ruin over Twitter.

Or do you realize that it is really happening?

I will admit that's possible. I wouldn't be stunned in the slightest if Mueller came out with findings of collusion. Trump is a wealthy scumbag. Not much shocks me about him.

I believe strongly that our country is strong enough not to miss a beat even with Trump's threats against the media. He doesn't have the power to jail journalists or suspend due process.

As far as the supreme court nominations, they have been qualified. I am not knowledgeable on the other judges he has appointed.
