I sent this in via sitemail, but Yogi Berra, C will be the Yankees wild card, not hitter. And my hitter will be Phil Rizzutto, SS. Thanks.

Is there a Difference in being a WC or Territorial Pitcher/Hitter? It seems to me there all the same except the Legacy Player.
3/25/2020 3:13 PM
Wild card can be either pitcher or a hitter. That’s the only difference.
3/25/2020 3:24 PM
The wild card gives you more options to pickup a new hitter or pitching rookie coming up. If you stick a 15 year hitter as the wild card you would be stuck with 2 hitters and 1 pitcher for 15 seasons. Use the hitter for the 15 year player and bounce the WC as a good pitcher or hitting rookie comes up.

Braves 1950 A few changes
Teritorial John Clarkson 1888-1892 5 years

Pitcher Warren Spahn
Wild Card Bob Elliott

Are there limitations/advantages to picking a player as a WC instead of a territorial Hitter or pitcher?

you can't move them... the wild card stays in that slot till you move on from them. your wild card who is a hitter can't move into the hitter slot to have two pitchers.

Can legacy players start in any year, or must they start in their first WiS season ?
3/25/2020 4:44 PM
Legacy players have to start in their first WIS season with your franchise, and continue until they leave your franchise.

Thus the Yankees' Babe Ruth starts in 1920 (skipping his Red Sox years) and ends in 1934 (skipping his final year with the Braves).
