I’m in, I’ll take San Francisco/California. RIP to the great Bill Russell!

Put me down for LSU and Louisana Tech
I kinda think that LSU is good enough on their own already, but okay, we'll let you add Malone in. So Shaq, Malone, Pettit, Maravich and Chris Jackson.
Pretty sure you said LSU couldn't combine schools on the first page.
And I find it interesting that Ben, who is the best owner/manager in WIS hoops who wins one out of every 4 leagues he is in, has the best team in this theme with Curry, CP3, Duncan, and John Collins, and is the one campaigning for other teams to not be able to try to compete.

If I had known that Wake was always winning these maybe I would have denied Ben's combo with Davidson. What do you think Ben, is your team too strong for this league like these guys are saying? I don't want to make everybody think that the championship is a foregone conclusion. You don't need to win that way.

I can switch Davidson out for another small North Carolina school if that makes people happy. Haven’t looked at them yet, but I would assume that outside of Duke/NorthCarolina/NC State/Davidson, that the rest are free game?

Maybe Wake belongs on its own, but how about UNC Charlotte which gives you Cornbread Maxwell. I think everybody could live with that.

I’ll look them over later and pick one of the small schools to replace Davidson.

savoybg, the UNC team could have Bob McAdoo, Brad Daugherty, Ed Davis, Brendan Haywood at PF/C. You could have Bobby Jones and John Henson at SF. 1972-73 Billy Cunningham could be used as a backup PG or SG.

I’m in with University of Houston. Is that school considered too big or can I add another?

A UCLA (currently banned) could start: Jrue Holiday, Zach Lavine, Marques Johnson, Bill Walton, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

Not to mention, Westbrook, Love, Wicks, Wilkes, Goodrich, Miller, and another dozen good players. They by far have the most NBA all stars and the most total selections to all star games.

All-Stars: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (19), Russell Westbrook (nine), Gail Goodrich (five), Marques Johnson (five), Kevin Love (five), Reggie Miller (five), Willie Naulls (four), Sidney Wicks (four), Jamaal Wilkes (three), Baron Davis (two), Zach LaVine (two), Kiki Vandeweghe (two), Bill Walton (two), Don Barksdale (one), Mark Eaton (one), Walt Hazzard (one), Jrue Holiday (one) and Curtis Rowe (one)

Total All-Star selections: 72

By the way, who is Jabbar? They had a guy named Lew Alcindor who was the best college player ever.

They are by themselves, yes. You've got Olajuwon, Elvin Hayes and Drexler. Don't get greedy.

Other than McAdoo I don't see any of those guys as better than Billy C. who was an MVP and among the 50 greatest players when they did that original list. Did you look at the numbers I posted?

John Henson? Are you just phucking with me here?

What about rebounding and assists? And Henson's 15% usage doesn't get you many shots with his better eFG, and that better eFG is negated by his 57% foul shooting. No way he's better than Billy.
7/31/2022 7:42 PM
Cunningham's defense in 1970 is 71, not much below Henson's best all around season, although Henson has other seasons where his defense is better. I don't think that the extra 7 points of eFG are worth the way lower rebounding and assists. At 15% usage playing like 15 minutes a game Henson will not even average one extra basket per game. More like one every 3 games. He averages one extra basket for every 14 FGA, and if he gets fouled he stinks at the line.
