As long as we aren’t compromising the league for the majority to satisfy the demands of a single user or two then I’m good. At whatever point we have to start loosening the integrity of league standards to curry favor with one user or another though, I’m happy to bow out with no ill will. I must have missed something, which is entirely possible because I've not been around until today. I missed the part where someone requested the draft rules be changed because they were on vacation. I previously said that if the draft started before Sunday, I'd have to be out (because I was on vacation, but I'm back as of now, but I also have a bunch of people at my house tomorrow for my dad's birthday party, so I knew I'd be busy so didn't bother disclosing that in the previous message), and that several people followed up with that they were going on vacation, some of whom taking a laptop or whatever, but in my post I specifically pointed out not to wait on just me.

Where did all of this come from?

From what dh said to me, I should be good, so put me in coach

Please be prepared for a slower draft then usual. Several owners will be on vacation and I don't feel the need to rush the draft. There won't be any skips until the 7th round. We have new player seasons out to research and the NBA playoffs on to talk about(im ready for this bloodbath jcred).

I can honestly say that for me and at least a couple other people the combination of this post:

- was a pretty confusing combination. Considering every other person who was going on vacation other than you said they were prepared to adhere to the regular schedule, there was at least a somewhat logical conclusion that the accommodation was being made on your behalf. That was an incorrect conclusion to draw, I fully admit now.

I think it is well known that I am uncompromising on issues that I consider matters of morality and ethics. I will certainly not shy away from conflict when it comes to those things. But sometimes it causes me to be a bit reactionary and jump the gun as I did here. I apologize for the day's drama.

For what it's worth, dh's sitemail to me 2 days prior to the one that apparently caused the confusion basically said, "I don't see the draft starting before next weekend" which was enough for me to commit, and thus me posting that I was in.
