I just ran a Savage Baseball draft and what we did was, in addition to a time clock with thirty minute time slots, we also had a three hour rule on top of the time clock. For any pick made between 10am and 10pm the next person had three hours to make a pick. Of course we were drafting 600 players instead of 168, but it worked great to keep the draft moving.

Pass to put this in after a draft starts/ Sometimes someone might be traveling, which could take much longer than 3 hours. Most people get frustrated with slower drafts, but changing rules mid draft shouldn't be the answer.

The wait just gives me more time to analyze the players that will be gone just before my turn comes up.

I wouldn’t ever change rules mid draft, I was just saying it worked well in a draft with a lot more rounds.

Any draft with booda should have a time clock lol
