Thanks. The pressure is on. I did my preliminary research for each franchise before I left on my vacation, but haven't figured out which franchise I am going to select my season from yet. The best teams are from franchises with multiple decent choices. Trying to decide which franchise has a season significantly better than the rest is tricky. Since I only have one top 8 overall pick, I need to make it count. I have spent all day comparing my choices, hoping not to screw up this pick (like I did with the 1911 Braves pick at #3 overall).

The truly impressive feat is footballmm11. He will have *two* top 7 picks in each of the four leagues, which means he will get a top 3 or 4 season for each of the 8 franchises. His eighth best team is currently ranked 26th overall. I will be choosing among his leftovers in nearly every league.

These are the teams that dropped off the most. Not surprising to me that my Dodgers ranks 1st on the list.

What’s interesting is that I had the very similar 1942 Dodgers in round 1. They were horrible the first half and good the second half.
So, for a 162 game stretch from All star to All star game the 41/42 Dodgers were a great team. The other 162 games, one of the worst.

I just looked it up. After 89 games in round they were 34-55. The final 73 games they were 41-32.

Combined with schwarze’s Dodgers they were 89-65 (.577) when they were good. 62-103 when they’re bad (.376).
