I like the idea of trying for 20/24 before going with 16. I'm also OK to wait some.

I think I prefer 16 or 20 considering the league type as I think the player pool is lesser than normal.

If we get enough interest to fill the league with 24 very fast than 24 is fine, but id say go with 16 or 20 if the league does not fit within 1-2 weeks

We have 10 committed so far, I think 20 may be the sweet spot. I am also going to play around with formats today to see what works best before finalizing the league and getting the league number out. The real WBC has 20, and I think there are still a number of quality teams to be claimed that we can make 20 to 24 work.

I built one for Panama but I am not sure if I should enter it. It's really hard to get to 1400ip at all, and requires some pitchers with ERA above 4 or 5.

Better on hitters, but I can only figure out how to spend 93m, so it seems undermatched against 130m teams.

If you wanted to create a South America/Caribbean combo team (Brazil, Panama, Colombia, Nicaragua) I would be okay with that. I don't see any of those countries being picked on their own, and it would be cool to at least have those countries represented. If nobody picks the Netherlands, I'd even be willing to throw them in as well.

The combo you suggested is viable.
I will build without Netherlands but would prefer with if it comes available.

Just noticed the league will have AAA players.
Not sure what that brings to the theme tbh.
Will they be random? In that case I can't see them fitting the theme for each country.

If you need a second team, I have Israel ready. It's made up of all Jewish players just like the real Israel WBC team is. But if anyone else wants it, they may claim it.
