Brewers : Back in First Place Topic

I had forgotten that Milwaukee had a team until I saw them on MLB Network yesterday. At first, I thought it was ESPN Classic but then I realized that there's no way the Brewers played a classic game.

I ended up with 2 extra tickets against the Rockies April 7 12:10 start, they are section 425 which is pretty close to home plate in row 11. I got them cheap on stubhub so I think I may be able to send them through email. Send me a message if interested.

Mat Gamel's out for at least six weeks with a torn muscle. Not that he would have made the team anyway.

Matt Treanor, more famously known as Misty May's husband, was traded to Texas for some nobody infielder, paving the way for George Kottaras to claim the backup job at catcher.

Scott Schoeneweis released today, he isn't happy about it. Thinks he's being blacklisted because of his wife's death. Sounds a bit paranoid.

It looks like Dave Bush has won a spot in the rotation, with Jeff Suppan and Manny Parra battling for the final spot. Chris Narveson is also in the mix but is more likely to be sent to the bullpen because he is the only one of the three with experience as a reliever.

Macha indicated that nobody has really stood out yet and that whoever does get the final spot out of spring training may be on a short leash with so many other options.
