You MUST keep things simple for some folks. 1984 is way too vague for buried heads. Sand is dense.

You should have said "Orwell's famous novel", etc.
But, even then, that would presume that folks read books. Some don't. like the POTUS.
SOME prefer a little world that THEY can understand and try to control.

for the record, if Trump loses, pretty sure we’ll do the same stuff: I’ll be at work at 6 and raising my smart, beautiful daughters with my smart, beautiful wife.

But we’ll hopefully be able to go to the aquarium in 6 months.
