I'd still be open to a $ deal, but I'm pretty limited.  Would be able to do a prospect(s) for strong SP type deal.

I'd love to trade in $ if someone is interested.
You have plenty of good players but none that really jump out as my type of guys.  You seem to have way too solid but not great guys...  turning 3 of them into an A+ is usually your specialty but I guess the market isn't biting as much.

I got stumped doing the AL East write-up just because I didn't figure out who would actually win that division.

Herz, maybe he's not going to wear a NY hat because you changed your team name three times?  Do they could that as multiple franchises instead of one.

You looking off the ML or minors for that? I have some guys closer to great than good in the minors.

If you have $10m+ to spend in the IFA market this year, I suspect you'll probably be able to get the fourth or fifth best player available that hits that market.
10M should get you an above average everyday player or a solid #3 starting pitcher in most seasons

Pre-budget, I was trying to figure how I could plan for for Quinn. It was virtually impossible with the salary cap for me to pull that off siince I'm carrying Riggan's deal. Quinn would have been worth close to a max deal.
Heh.  Not sure he would be worth the max...  but he is solid as hell.

Didn't you say last season that Riggan's deal would not affect you, you had hardly any future moneys committed, you would still have lots of flexibility with your team, etc?
Yeah, I said that, and its mostly true. I added a lot of salary with the deal with tisi - $12+ million a year through season 6 for Daniels. I lose a lot of undesirable contracts after this season. Rauch is making over $7 million. I will likely deal him, or let him walk for the picks. And I lose a lot of other smaller contracts on some worthless filler.

I still will have plenty of options on how to allocate my salary next year and beyond. My point was it didnt lock me up to the point of now being able to improve and make my desired moves.

The bigs...  I tend not to trade for guys unless they are ready to contribute or if I am unloading old for young.

Then he'd have even less in Toledo, where he played 1,037.

They feel he played 913 games for NY, when math would tell us he played 1,064.

Then maybe the $HOF is racist against guys with the yellow fever.

he's been on my team after 2008 though, so that doesnt hold water

You're never cured of the fever...it just lays dormant.  Give it time, once this common law marriage thing you've got turns sour, you'll be back to picking up Korean hookers.

I may end up picking up a bunch of picks in KP next year. I have a handful of guys that may end up being type A's, none of which Id really mind losing.

I wanted to pick someone besides you, but everyone looks worse off this season. Pittsburgh signed a lot of guys to replace a lot of players they lost, but they still aren't that good. I don't think it'll be tracyr, either.
