Have you looked at the available starting FA's in Coop?  Do you see anyone that will perform significantly better?  'cause I don't... he has a downside of 0-10, anyone else I see has an upside of 3-7... over a max of 3 wins, I'd rather see what happens.

No, I have not looked.   Some people have options in AAA.   That's kind of what the minors are for.

I don't see any glaring needs.   I'll always add a pitcher when I can. 
He'll recover fine.  Offseason is around 110 days or so.  Maybe 118.  I don't remember the exact number.

Those guys can put up solid numbers.   Not that kind of number but 50/90/50/50/90 does better than you'd think.

Since I don't think either will produce huge numbers, I'd probably go with Demny if I had a team that stole some bases.  Smith will run into outs.  If I didn't steal much, I'd use Smith.  He's already getting BL money and will produce a better OPS while Demny isn't on the 40 yet.
