Would I be able to get one of your shortstops?
Of course, but some are more expensive than others.

btw, serg, I countered.
same

Of those three, I think your most likely option is Bako from Burlington

You're welcome, uskerman.
For what?
Another draft pick - I just added Wilson Byrne to my bench.
Oh.  Nice.  He actually has performed admirably the last couple of seasons in decline.  I thought about bringing him back.  Good luck with him.

Bryne also only needs 2 SBs to be the first 500/500 guy I think.

If he played 2 more seasons with a couple of hundred ABs each, he could get to 2000 RBIs and 2000 RS.

Yeah, I definitely like him as my bench bat extraordinarie, and also the fill-in at first base for 30 or so games Valenzuela has to miss due to low durability. Just wish his range hadn't fallen off so much so I could give him some worthwhile time in LF.

I should say nobody wants to do my usual two or three for one deal. I have both cash and prospects and can't seem to find someone interested.
Yeah...  I find that as well.
Thats because 3 for one deals are inherently lopsided
Not true. I'm making offers where I'm giving up multiple guys who were top draft choices for that one stellar player and coming up empty.

I just think people don't like giving up on the one uberprospect in their organization, even if it nets them three guys in return.
I dont see you getting a true "uber prospect" for less than a package based around Young and either Greene/Pedromo
We'll see where the sticking point in negotiations is. Right now I've been looking at guys who will be SP1/SP2 types and I don't know that it'd require either Young or Greene. I'm actually not as against trading Perdomo as one would expect.

I had been watching him for a while, and today he finally dropped his demand for a 2nd year.

Now that is hof worthy.

I imagine he'll get around 150-200 this year, he's starting to fall off pretty badly though.

Looking at his career has made me more optimistic on how good my best hitting prospect, Philip May, will be. He won't have the power Byrne had at his peak, but he's got better splits, and is also a switch-hitter.

tisi:  I also offered you a deal.  Maybe it is enough, maybe not.  I can never tell with you.

I think he could survive at LF.  I have played guys much worse off successfully.

Seeing how productive Bryne could be really had a pretty dramatic effect on how I looked at certain players.  I just acquired 2 extremely similar players over the last .5 season in KP

It looks like guys in his area with range wind up with a ton of - plays, but I may start him off there, and if he can hit close to what he did last year, it may be worth it.

Looking at the top fielding % in HR and the records of those teams there is definitely a coorelation between defense and wins
