I have been below average on D for a couple of seasons in HR and have done extremely well.  If I remember correctly, I think dherz was pretty shoddy on D last season as well.  1st and 2nd best records in the AL.
Obviously park, pitching staff, and personnel can make up for it.

Exactly - the point is to score more runs than the opponent, how you do so is irrelevant.

agreed - all i said is there is a coorelation between the two.

the thing about defense is it helps out pitching which is a plus. That said you still need decent pitching and hitting to win games.

My HR team is really all about offense, but I dont know that my defense is "shoddy", though I've also not looked at the stats.  I'm generally comfortable with Rincon in Center, and not sure that my middle infield is terrible

Depending on the park, you can get by with flyball pitchers and worse defenders.

Heh- Im doing my best to make busk deal with pulling a Craig Andrews in KP.
I know.  ***.  It doesn't matter nearly as much to me as that did to you though.

It isn't a huge deal as both players kind of suck, but I would prefer not to have it go through.

I am usually check 800 times to make sure I didn't mess up but I had a moment of weakness.

I think you were one of the 3-4 worst is - plays last season.

Yeah, Andrews was the difference between me winning a WS or 3 in the stretch from seasons 4-10 or the alternative, my 0-fer

That guy in my deal was going to ride the bench.  I just wanted to use him in another deal if I could work one out, which is what I said in the comment box as a reason for my attempted rejection.
