Just looked up the finishing order of that 750k Annette_15 won. I love OPR. And looking out the payouts...yeah...your JJ holding probably would have been highly profitable, whatever the circumstances at that point.

I think if I can play any tournament, it would be either the 25k WPT or the 15k WPT both at the Bellagio. The starting stacks are super deep and the pay structure is great.

in that 750k I played 77 and AK terrible in the BB each time to an UTG raise. I think both I called and then check folded flop.

those hands haunted me. I played scared because the money was so big and I dreamed of a 6 figure score. Now I wish I would of repopped with AK and laid down the 77.

The pay jumps were huge I had friends railling me and it was like 2am. To think back on that tourney was probably the most fun and most frustrating thing I have been apart of poker wise. The JJ I got it in good and the killer part was I dodged the flop and turn and the J of all cards gave my opponent the straight on the river.

TM I really want to look but think Ill drive into a telephone poll on my way home if I see what I could of made.

Funny thing is I never got to play with Annette that tourney even though I got down to 11 or 12 players (I remember 11th) I remember reading in pocket fives how she ran over the FT raising almost every hand and got lucky on flips and stuff. Not sure why I think I would make a stand against her when I think back to the AK and 77 hand.

She got 117k.

At the time I remember having and argument with friends. They thought I should be folding my way to more cash and I wanted to win the thing. Was not mad about my reshove with JJ.

I know I tell these stories to every new person I start talking poker with. Im like Al Bundy talking about HS football. Its depressing.

Without knowing all the details, I can't imagine a reshove with JJ 5 or 6 handed could have been incorrect.

I had enough chips that the reshove had fold equity but not a large stack at all Maybe running 8th or 9th. I remember the rail had my back which always seemed unusual when you dont know any of them.

Doing some fun math just now, if I could just steadily increase my bankroll by 33% each month, starting now, I'd have a $2600+ bankroll in 6 months. At that point I'd be rolled for all but the Sunday major/special events, really, and could then hold steady cashing out around $900 a month.

Dare to dream.

ok tm you now have me looking at that site. Just realized 2 weeks before that deep 750k run I finished 44th in same tourney for about 1600. Wow I miss the summer of 07.

Sep of 08 seems so long ago I had a good weekend on Stars...love that site now.
