Thanks for running the draft, EJ. Great job man
My pleasure. It was a blast. Not sure I could do it when the world gets back to normal but we'll see. Now that the teams are picked, a few comments and observations. I have 1750 innings. Thought that would be enough. Maybe not but we will see. I am not as much a numbers guy as some here, but we all have incredible OBP (.431 for me), AVG (.359) but varying degrees of SLG (.534). Interesting to see how that plays out. Likewise, WHIP (.89) and OAV (.188) but the HR numbers may vary as well (.19). I saw this as a much more HR and SLG driven draft than the Dead Ball doubles and triples teams that I like to play.
Also, can all the seasons of Babes or Rogers really be that great? Even though some of those years are monsters, I doubt every iteration will slug .600 - .800 in this league. Still, worried that what we will learn is that the monster hitting years of the greats will drown the isolated great pitching years. There are many more Babe and Rogers years that look to be WIS effective than there are Joss, Mathewson or Maddux years.
