That was actually poor form on my part...Robusk called that one first.
Didn't you rape bret hard enough, you wanted to get a hummer from moy?

Its important to be gramaitically correct when trading with me. I thought this was a known fact.

I think you can allow some of the other factors (CN/PW/vL/vR) to come down if you have a high BE.  I may be wrong as I do very little analysis of HBD.
For sure.  High BE does a ton.

From what I can tell though, the primary factor affecting strikeouts from the PP's perspective is contact...  and except for inflating homerun numbers and working with ballpark factors, contact feels pretty useless to me.

Not moy's level of groundbreaking stuff, but a lot of owners really don't understand batting eye.  Probably more in other worlds I have been in over $ though.
I'd much rather have the ball hit in play than a strikeout, which is why I like a good contact number.
I would prefer it... but it is pretty far down the list of priorities for me.  You have had some pretty good offenses before, so I am sure you got a good system in place.

I think WIS defines contact as directly affecting the batter's vl and vr. So, I look at it as a multiplier to those ratings.

If WiS understood their engine, patrickm wouldn't suck so bad.

I have always been a sucker for contact, but have tempered that gradually over the years.

Girl, please.  I tossed in the RP he wanted, even after he agreed to go back to the original deal.  You know, just to be charitable.

Also,  stop bringing the gayness.

I creates more balls inplay, which in turn can be affected by fielding, pallpark affects and other engine factors.  Contact is great and I always like to get it when I can, but it is only like the 6th or 7th thing I am looking at.  Just like power or a split or eye or something though, if it is below a specific minimum, it is crippling.
7/28/2010 10:44 AM
I actually kind of had that backwards but my point is the same.

Batting Versus Left-Handed Pitching determines how a batter fares against lefties, both in terms of making contact and power.
Batting Versus Right-Handed Pitching determines how a batter fares against righties, both in terms of making contact and power.

I think you meant to say "Sthop It"

Fairly sure I didn't.

Just because you gave a reacharound while you raped him doesnt make it less rapey...

I tend to search by BE and contact minimums, then sort the list by vR, to start looking for FA bats.
