You people have beat the crap out of this subject. Answer me this, what the hell is the point of performing the anthem before every freaking sporting event?
Do you start your work day morning standing at your desk singing at a flag? What the hell does nationalism have to do with sports?
Actually, that is a good point

Good question. I dunno. Maybe we need an excuse to fix our shorts, rearrange our junk then sit down before the game starts.

You got a better song in mind?

Lets face it, if you want to protest something it is not a good idea to offend any one. Right Dr Krap?

The entire point is to get attention. Basically anything will offend someone these days.

Krapp, actually. 2 P's...

Personally I would try to find a solution without ******* off the masses. Call me crazy...and I wouldn't do it during the anthem. Period.

Actually I apologize for that. It was pointless addition to my comment

I learned that it is supposed to be to honor veterans during wartime... but why play it during peace? Nationalism isn't always a good thing. Just ask Hitler.

Yeah, I won't sit here and call you names. I would hope for the same in return.

Perhaps. Or the owners just don't want the headache he'd bring...Vick found himself in a similar situation...

Truth be told, his play had fallen way off his last year in SF. That might be why he isn't seeing offers come his way...
let's put it this way. I think if Kaepernick had not done any of the protesting stuff, he'd have a job in the NFL now, but he's not good enough for an owner to say what he gives me on the field is worth any hassles his signing might cause. If he comes without any baggage he's worth signing as a backup or maybe even a starter for some awful teams. With the baggage, a lot of teams will say he's not worth it.
This.

He just isn't good enough to justify the media circus. It isn't his "stand" that's the issue: it's the amount of controversy/headaches compared to his on-field production.

Anyone else think it's ironic that the guy who campaigned on an anti-political correctness, anti-safe space platform, who bragged about sexually assaulting women, who made fun of a disabled reporter, and who insulted every person running against him is now upset that someone else is doing something that offends him and wants that person punished?

Hitler should have been mowed down before he got a head of steam. Kind of like that NK idiot with the ****** up haircut.

I agree with this. It just gives the malcontents another chance to... well, make a show of their malcontent.

Kaepernick hasn't done himself any favors, career wise, with the protests and ongoing media circus..
