Because your people chose to persevere despite the adversity.
Because there is no institutional racism against them.

You see, you have yet to prove institutional racism since the 1970's. If your race can't recover in 50+ years, something is seriously wrong.

Why did it take blqck people 50+ years to get voting rights after the end of slavery? Something is seriosuly wrong.

Tang, you really need to learn what opportunity is. That student who dropped out to support his family made a choice. He had the opportunity to get a diploma and go to college. He made a choice not to. Please learn that everything that happens in life is a product of a choice. It will really make you a more effective person.
Fine. I concede. Most everyone has opportunity. You agree that equal opportunity does not exist?
No, I don't agree with that. Name one opportunity that whites have, that minorities don't. You and B_L have yet to name one.
LOL, pull your head out of the sand. Just because it "seems" like people have equal opportunities, doesn't in fact mean they do.

When the across the street neighbors from my grandparents were selling their house back in the late 70's, they showed it to a black family. Right after they showed it to the family, Mr. Parker rolled around to the neighbors telling them not to worry, there's no way he would sell it to the negros. In a perfect world, yes everyone as the same opportunities, but this is the real world, not the perfect world.
We don't live in the 70's. That was almost 50 years ago. That's the problem we're running into. The left keeps using arguments from the 60's and 70's. Times have changed. Are minorities still effected by those decades? Only if they allow themselves to be effected. The opportunities are more than there to live a productive, fruitful life.

Taint, B_L, and Tang have yet to name opportunity that whites have that minorities don't.
A) the fact that things aren’t as bad now as they were in the 60s, when blacks were still being lynched, doesn’t change the fact that blacks still face an uphill battle.

B) We can still point to things today - arrest and charge rates for simple drug possession, the lack of blacks in executive positions, the fact that the current president is a racist, as proof there is institutional racism in this country.

bad_luck what nationality are you? I just need to gauge where you are coming from. Many people hate Jews. I am a Jew and I know that no matter what I do I cannot change their mind. I am not sure what you are trying to accomplish here.

It’s stupid. It will never happen.

But if it did, what kind of dumb **** is that? Literally 90% of the money in CA is on the coast. Inner counties are incredibly poor. Good luck. Don’t let the door hit you in the *** on the way out.

No, Kern County. Please don’t go. Where will we get our meth?

If there’s a disadvantage, the opportunity isn’t equal. You and I decide to run a race and you have shoes but I don’t, my opportunity to win the race isn’t the same as yours.
Then racial quotas are a disadvantage for Asians getting into the UC system. Pretty sure other minorities have LOWER standards to get into the state-funded UC system. If you're Asian and want to go to UCBerkeley or UCDavis or UCLA, you have to have a 4.5 GPA and eleventy-billion on the SAT. Certain other minorities, you pretty much just need a pulse.

That's institutional racism too.
That isn't actually true. I went to a UC school.
Are you a minority? Are you Asian? Are you black? All those are questions that are asked as part of the application. That's racism.

That should have NOTHING to do with your qualifications as an entering freshman.
I am a Jew and that makes me better than all of you. If you want to play the race/color/culture card let's do it. Jews are by far the wealthiest and most educated people in the US. This despite anti semitism all over the place in the US. Compare us to all other WHITES. Why are we so much more successful?

Dude. You proved that RELIGIOUS Jews are financially better off. Younare an atheist. I am Jewish too BTW. Guess I am not an 'idiot'.

Also, RACISM IS NOT INSTITUTIONAL RACISM.
Neither my parents nor I are religious but we adhere to the culture. Why are we better off? You still have not answered my question and no, you are. There are very few short NBA players but they do exist. Called an anomaly. You are one as well.
1/16/2018 2:03 PM
BTW - tangy my parents have become more religious as they have aged. And you have not answered why Jews are more successful. Still waiting....
