Youve said "if your team is struggling, look at what the rest of the world is doing and improve in those areas"   Well when you look at those teams and you're ... significantly better in those areas yet 10ish wins behind said teams... then where do I look to improve?

Nah.  booger is just mad because he's in a world that is a TWC candidate.

If you're scoring more runs and giving up less runs than everybody else, you're just a victim of bad luck.  Not much you can do.   If you're looking at ratings and saying "I'm better" but you're not scoring more/giving up less, you're not as good as you think.

I don't think so.   I've been saying "New owner elation" but it does seem to be going on for quite awhile.

Will a poor fielding first baseman (i.e. DH candidate on an NL team getting playing time) negate some of the advantage of the plus infielders at 2nd, SS and 3rd?

As I understand it, players play independent of one another.  IOW, a high range CF will not "cover" for a rock in RF.   Assuming that is true, no, he does not affect the rest of the IF.   However, he will make plenty of - plays/errors.

Won't some of those minus plays and errors be at the expense of perfectly good throws from the other IFs?

It won't count against them just the 1B.   I suppose, if you wanted to nitpick, you could say his sorry *** would cost them some assists but that really is digging deep to say he's negating the advantage they present.   Because, unless he's doing it in the bottom of the 9th, those outs will still come from someone.   And there's no reason to believe that all of them will come as flyouts to the OF or strikeouts from the pitcher.

My setup B guys are routinely sent into tie games.  And then we lose.  What's up with that?  Aren't setup B guys only used when trailing?

Setup A/B - Setup relief pitchers are the first to come in when a pitcher is removed late (generally during the 7th or later) in a game that is still in doubt. These are usually relief pitchers who are only capable of pitching an inning of relief at maximum effectiveness. Their appearances are usually higher than any other pitching role, while they may not pitch as many total innings as starters or long relief pitchers. Unless settings in the Edit Players Settings page dictate otherwise, the setup A pitcher will be given first priority to enter a game when this situation arises and the score is still close. If there is a wide margin in the score your setup B pitcher will have a better chance of appearing in the game. If a setup pitcher must leave the game during what is still a setup relief situation, first replacement priority will be given to another setup relief pitcher. Setup pitchers are intended to bridge the gap from starters to closers.

My guess is that's your problem.

Hah, you'd think I'd be guilty of something that simple?  All of my relievers are set on 'any'.  What's the proper way to make sure a setup B isn't brought into tied games?

When is it that coaches lower their demands?  Do you get frustrated when only 12 teams need to hire a bench coach, yet 26 guys are demanding the postion and wanting a salary of at least $1,670,000?  Do other leagues have such variances in the quality of coaches?  For example, in Uecker the highest rating for glove for any coach is 78, but for bench coach, there are many more  coaches with a strategy rating of 85 than the league could ever use.
