This was a good opinion piece. Reiterates much of what I've been saying. My favorite part:

The Mayor of San Juan, who was very complimentary only a few days ago, has now been told by the Democrats that you must be nasty to Trump.

...Such poor leadership ability by the Mayor of San Juan, and others in Puerto Rico, who are not able to get their workers to help. They....

...want everything to be done for them when it should be a community effort. 10,000 Federal workers now on Island doing a fantastic job.

The military and first responders, despite no electric, roads, phones etc., have done an amazing job. Puerto Rico was totally destroyed.

Fake News CNN and NBC are going out of their way to disparage our great First Responders as a way to "get Trump." Not fair to FR or effort!

I will be going to Puerto Rico on Tuesday with Melania. Will hopefully be able to stop at the U.S. Virgin Islands (people working hard).

The Fake News Networks are working overtime in Puerto Rico doing their best to take the spirit away from our soldiers and first R's. Shame!

^^^It's the same type of Trump message as the CNN opinion piece mentioned about the NFL .... Libs in big cities will scream to high hell about how uncompassionate Trump is... At the same time most of rural America doesn't care about Puerto Rico, they care about their own problems in their own communities, not some island far far away that's not even a US state.


Also notice how he's manipulating the media attacks intended to bring him down by shifting the attacks to the First Responders and Military helping in PR? It's going to work again in his favor just like the NFL protests because 'nobody insults first responders' just like 'nobody disrespects the flag and the anthem'.... At least not in rural America. #BRILLIANT

This couldn't be truer: America is, unfortunately, a divided Country, so the POTUS can not do what "everyone" wants. Therefore, he needs to do what the majority wants. That's exactly what he's doing on all these issues that the big mouth, crazy Liberals are loosing their minds over. They are in the minority and can't deal with that reality. They'd rather keep p*ssing and moaning and whining, which continues to make them an even smaller minority.

What's funny are headlines like the WaPo....

Trump doesn’t get it on Puerto Rico. He just proved it by lashing out at San Juan’s mayor.

The thing is Trump DOES get it. That's why he keeps responding the way he does. It's the WaPo who doesn't get it.

Most rural voters don't want compassion or empathy - those are simply feelings and words. They want someone getting things done for them, ACTUAL results from Washington DC.

The media keeps trying to play up that Trump has no compassion.... It's not working, for the obvious reason above.

Real leaders don't have 18 appointees fired or resign in disgrace in 8 months. He hired them.
