who hit the accept button? Most of these inexperienced owners you speak of ignore help. Owners that want to learn will seek help, the ones that think they know it all get taken.

Rape is the wrong word for that would indicate that the other coach had no choice. Did the other coach hit the accept button? If so he was not raped.

The owners who don't veto are part of the problem.

What you fail or refuse to accept is that you're part of the problem as well.

The guy who has ZERO seasons under his belt, a 6m ADV scouting and a desire to play the game. He sees three high OVR being offered for a player and thinks "Damn, I can rebuild this 47 win team pretty quick if I can keep getting 3 for 1 deals like this!!"

And, BAM!, the 47 win team becomes a 37 win team with no prospects and the need for a good owner.

Way to care about the health of the league.

Yes, I refuse to accept because I disagree that a coach who benefits from a trade is part of the problem. In my opinion he is just doing what he should be doing and improving his team with the best trade possible, everyone else is failing to do what they should be doing and that is not accepting trades they do not understand and failing to veto lopsided trades. We will just have to disagree because you will never change my opinion that a coach who is playing within the rules is at fault.

Too long. I don't care what leagues you play in. Learn to shorten your posts.

But, to address the part I read, he SHOULD ask for help. But, if he doesn't, letting him destroy his team isn't good for the world. So, again, way to look out for the health of the world. Good job.

I could care less if you do or do not read all my long posts. I have no intention of catering to you.

I think your misguided. That is your choice. I look out for the health of the world I commish. I help those that desire to be helped, if they think they know it all then they will learn the hard way. That in my opinion is a healthy outlook and I am a strong opponent of babying people, that is not the way too teach someone. You think you know everything then learn the hard way.

If you quote my post, it would seem that you're responding to me. I'd think you'd want it to be read. I give you three lines.

Nonetheless, screwing new owners because they didn't ask for help is not beneficial to a world. No ifs, ands or buts. It just isn't.

it's amazing to me that new owners who don't ask plague specifically for advice 'think they know everything' and deserve to get fleeced in trades
11/6/2009 9:20 AM
and then if they do get screwed it's all the other owners' fault for not vetoing the deal

HBD, Sparta-style.
