As far as Sload's 5 years retired idea then re-eligible to be redrafted--

We can kick that around some while we play season 1 and vote on it prior to the Season 2 Draft.
I'm ope to any reasonable ammendments to Procedures so long as everyone has a chance to think it over and put it to a vote.
This is Everyone's League now...

??
so if my 1st pick Seaver's 1st yr(1967) is over 5 million, can I start him in his 2nd year 68 if I want???

I'm pretty sure you can't start anytime after the player's first 5 million plus season. It's just that if he had WIS eligible seasons prior to his first 5 million season, you could start with one of those if you wanted. If a player's first WIS eligible season is 5 mil or higher, then you have no choice.

You got it steve. Via the Set up on page 1:

* Hitters & Starting Pitchers can begin their League careers in either their first $5 million+ salaried season, or an earlier cheaper season if you prefer. (Also aplicable to Hitters/Starting Pitchers that don't have a $5 million Season. In these cases, you may choose any season to begin with, i.e.- Oscar Gamble.)

* Relief Pitchers can begin their League careers in their first $3 million+ season, or begin at any earlier cheaper season beforehand.

* This is to ensure that we all have a team full of usable players instead of teams full of Rookies that have 200 PA's and hit .215 for 3 years... You can always opt for a lower season. A lot of great reliever seasons are less than $3 mil, and many of the great Part-time players and pinch hitters will be less than those benchmarks as well.

* The season you choose as owner will be the season that player will be officially “Born into the League”.

that would mean that I would have to start Seaver in his 1st 5million plus season...which is his 1st season..

I could not start him in season 2

Bingo. You got it man... like I have to start Gibby in 61 instead of 62...

Yeah, it's intended to be a Lifetime Progressive with some twists & turns... but starting guys at the beginnings of their WIS careers seemed to be too brutal. Not enough AB's or IP for a lot of guys until 3-4-5 seasons into their careers. So when I was putting this together I figured $5 million (and $3 million for relievers) were good baselines to get to at least useable first seasons.
