Its simply not happening....any time you call WIS on extreme randomness, you get the "its only 1 game" or "Chaminade over Virginia, Villanova over Georgetown" excuse. I even sent a ticket to Norbert of the NFL sim, wondering why my team that had the best OL sack rating out there with a rather mobile QB got sacked the most, despite having only the 7th or 8th most pass attempts in the league....he returned with a response that said "Yeah, you got sacked a bunch of times, the game is in shambles."

Thus if WIS refuses to see a problem with extreme randomness in their game(s) then I can't make them see otherwise.

Hahaha, yet once again you go elsewhere to WIS. Stick with HD, I could really care less if the NFL sim guy says anything. I am in HD and care about that, and the simple fact that your against even trying in the beta seems funny for someone who never seems to shy away from a fight.

Oh by the way colonels every play Axis and Allies? Cause if you have and played any online version of the game, there is always an outcry that the RNG is broken in those too, just cause it doesn't always come up 50/50 every game.

I bring up the other games because I'd pretty much bet my life that randomness is "made"/used the same way in all of their games...I don't really think there are any variations...the fact that I've seen nonsense across a variety of games supports this thought.

As far as beta goes, when I logged into my team page (Chapman) I realized that I could care less about that team and beta in general. I'm not sure how long I'll be playing HD, I'll play this thing however its rolled out, and that's that. Thus if LP matters for Gs and PE matters for Cs, I'll get used to it, but I'm not going to get involved while the changes are in place because I simply don't care.

I don't mean this in a nasty way, but there's no other honest way to say it:

If you "Simply don't care", then why on earth are you here, wasting so much time and energy on it? That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

I enjoy the game and playing it...just because I don't care about every last in and out of the game doesn't mean I don't enjoy it any less. I mean really, do you think I'd still be here if I didn't like the game? Please.

We're not talking about every last in-and-out. Quite the contrary. We're talking about the bread-and-butter of the game, the sim, which you have serious misgivings about. For the amount of time and energy you spend here, it's beyond stunning that you wouldn't rather devote some of that to actually trying to affect positive change.

The things I've griped about here are rankings, recruiting, and randomness, none of that's changing...well maybe the rankings but I'll see them when they release them, they won't pay for my ideas so why pipe up at all?

Like I said, I'll play HD however its rolled out, changes will be made with approval of the masses and I'm cool with that. Its really that simple and cut and dry.

I made an offer right at the beginning of recruiting in Tark....Armstrong Atlantic State v. SIU-Edwardsville. Guess you weren't on recruiting that soon...I took Btown's offer rather quickly after that, and a friend of mine is the new coach at Bethel so I wanted to face him as well.

HD doesn't pay any of us for any of our ideas. yet a number of coaches continue to share them anyway, united by a common goal - trying to improve the game we all enjoy. that is a good enough reason for the rest of us :) maybe we have stumbled upon one of the fundamental differences between us that causes us to disagree so sharply?
