I don't really care what you're responding to.

I'll repeat this for you:
Name Pitino's AD. AD is lower profile, lower prestige.

At least make a legit argument when you're complaining about everyone else. Because, if you think back, there is one.

I'll help. Willie Randolph turned down the Cincy manager's job to remain a basecoach with the Yanks. I'm forced to believe Cincy offered him more money. Of course, one could argue profile/prestige still favored the Yankee job.

I'll repeat this for you:

I'll go further out on that limb and say that comparisons to the real-world for this web-based game are pretty pointless and using them for Fielding coaches accepting BC jobs is a pretty idiotic train of thought.

I'll assume you have no idea who Pitino's AD is. So we can stop that line of dumbassery and move on.

HBD is an effort to mirror MLB. MLB happens to be real-world. Comparisons will come about whether you approve or not. Get used to it.

You've never heard of Tom Jurich?
2/16/2010 3:13 PM
I don't give a rip about college basketball. And it's apparent that spuds hadn't heard of him either. Which negated his "argument".

"HBD is an effort to mirror MLB. MLB happens to be real-world. Comparisons will come about whether you approve or not. Get used to it."

So how much does a fielding coach for the Yankees get paid?

I can only assume if we're intending to mirror real-life, that it's as much or more than the BC.
2/16/2010 3:25 PM
I assume you know who the fielding coach for the Yankees is... right?
2/16/2010 3:28 PM
"effort to mirror MLB"

As you know, it's not always successful. I believe it's been mentioned that no MLB team has anyone designated as a fielding coach.

And, even if MLB teams did, there's nothing WifS can do to stop you from paying your BC 600k and your FI 5m. But you don't have to pay your FI that much. It's your choice.
2/16/2010 3:29 PM
actually, the position doesn't exist in real life.
2/16/2010 3:29 PM
Yeah, I said that.

So how can you argue that the Fielding Coach position has less prestige/profile than the BC when it doesn't even in real life, which you're basing your argument off of?

Apparently the position in HBD has at least as much prestige/profile given the limited number of them and the massive salaries they're paid on the open-market.
2/16/2010 3:31 PM
My bigal-o-meter went off.
2/16/2010 3:31 PM
I can say that because the BC takes the helm when the manager isn't around. Stands to reason that he's second in command. As such, HBD has decided that the BC is the most prestigious position on the staff.

That's how.
