wow...when you pick a really good team, you have to wait a REALLY long time to pick. wonder if it will be worth it.

Really good teams will still win...just not as easily as in the past.

And whatever happens this round, the teams with the worse records will still get an early selection in the next season, so we may see the .600 teams slipping in the draft, if they don't win.

It's always fun to get early draft picks and add really good players to your team... but there's a reason these teams are picking early and often... they suck.

I do wonder if the changes went too far. seeing 85, 86 win teams on the board suggests perverse incentives to me.

perhaps something like tiering the teams for picks after the draft would prevent that?

Thought I was going to be super smart and sneak in Woodie Fryman. Then I remembered the "full-season card only" rule and realized that would be actually super dumb. I'll be back from the drawing board shortly with my real pick. It'll be super mediocre.
