With a 2-1 lead in the ninth and two outs, Mariano Rivera (who I've never seen IBB anyone, let alone with two outs), intentionally walks Eddie Perez of all people to get to Galarraga, who hits the game-tying single. My IBB setting was at "2" (I thought it was at 1, and have since changed it, but I still don't think that situation should occur). A closer hardly ever IBB's anyone, but especially not with two outs.
Now, there was a runner on second, but again, Rivera (or any good closer) would certainly not walk the winning run on base with two outs, and especially with a light-hitting righty at the plate.
