I'm probably not going to have any scrubs at all.   That's the way I've been playing most regular theme leagues, so I'm averse to having anyone on my team who's a zilch.   For a while, my wild card player had a chance to be really expensive, but that might not happen anymore.

How are you guys displaying your rosters so nicely in the posts? A lot of typing or there a slick formatting trick involved in copy/paste?

I'm stoked about my team. $16 million for Bonds forced me to make two big sacrifices in the line-up (a cheap Rickey season and a so-so catcher) and the pitching staff is razor thin at 1450 innings (not counting scrub). I'll have about $4,000 left when my roster is complete.

My biggest misses so far:

Steve Ontiveros '94: I gambled on trying to net the classic 150IP tandem of Mark Eichhorn and Ontiveros and came up one guy short.
Joe Mauer '06,'09: Two awesome catcher seasons that don't need backups.
Bonds '97: Great leadoff guy for under $7 million. I'll be settling for a worse 1-hole option.
Mike Jackson '98: A quality sub $2.5 mil reliever with 60+ ip. Settled for Steve Reed, whose equally good but only 55 IP.

Everything else has gone according to plan.

Hey Poet,

You might need to select a new pick for 2007 for your Team #1 as I think BigSteve12 has Placido Polanco for that year already (unless there is some guy with a last name Placido that isn't showing up in WIS ).

Well, I don't have much hope, unless I get lucky with alignment or something. My draft position proved to be a poor choice for pitching in the early rounds, so I have a strong offensive team with mediocre pitching (by $120m standards). My pitching staff is going to be worth only $48m, and the problem is that prime pitching was more scarce than prime hitting in this draft. So, I'll be lucky to beat .500...

I only spent $48mil on pitching and I'm very confident in my staff, especially with my offense
