I don't have an issue with the trade in a vacuum, my issue is that the ability to make such a trade should have been explicitly stated in the league's description from day one.

I think collusion is generally the only time vetoes should be allowed but I can't help but feel that something's not quite right when all of the league's rules aren't outlined right from the get-go.

I was certainly not aware we could completely trade out of our era zone (so to speak) after establishing it with that first round pick. That was not made clear in that sitemail, and I certainly would have tried to, or maybe even put in a better offer for Pedro, for basically the same reasons this trade was made.
Trades are legal as long as the number of picks/players was equal and both owners can field a legal roster.

I tend to cut/paste the generic rules from year to year (AAA, WW, Trades, etc.)  These are all the rules that go into the Theme League Wizard.  I did, however make a point to include the possibility/legality of pre-season trading in the site-mail I sent.  I will try to spell out - in the rules thread - any special pre-season rules in the future.

And that's fine, it's just frustrating that I may have approached the draft much differently if I had known such trades were okay.  I saw the sitemail you sent out and had already considered making some positional swaps depending on player availability but the sitemail was somewhat vague w/r/t actual player trading, especially after you mentioned in the thread about making sure illegal picks were reported.

I have traded the pick on the clock to alleyviper, so he's now on the clock.

I get alleyviper's 2nd round pick and 11th round pick. alleyviper gets my 2nd round pick and 12th round pick. (I'm moving back two slots for a one round tradeup later, basically.)

I'm not a fan of the trading but I didn't say anything when I first saw schwarze's email mentioning it so I'll live with it
