I'll admit it.  I needed to google Frank Haith when I saw that hire.
I thought he had been a character on Green Acres.

That's funny!   You're probably mixing up Hank Kimbel and Frankie, the homely housepainter who had a crush on Eb.

I am in Las Vegas today and the inside scoop is that UNLV is only seriously interested in Dave Rice. I heard they may have given Reggie Theus a call just recently but Rice was their first contact.

People here in Vegas are laughing about that. I wonder if Knight is even serious about that or if he is just floating his name to see if anybody is even interested.

It is not known whether Syracuse assistant Rob Murphy or Cleveland State assistant Jayson Gee, two other rumored candidates, have interviewed for the position.

Wyoming has hired Larry Shyatt.  For the past 7 years, he's been the assistant at Florida.  He coached at Wyoming in 1997-98, taking them to the NIT. Then he was at Clemson for 5 seasons.
I'm waiting for him to punch a spectator so I can break out the "Shyatt hits the fan at UW" headline.

Seriously though, it's a good hire for Wyoming and I'm excited to see what he can do to the program. His one season previously as head coach was solid.

He's a really good basketball mind. He'll do good things out there, I'm sure of it.

I was attending UW during his one season and he got more out of less than any coach I've ever seen.  The Poke Nation is excited to have him back!
