I can't even begin to say what a brilliant fake that was....it is a crying shame it was called back, if only for the fact that it dooms it to be a footnote rather than a lifetime highlight reel clip

The shame is that they can't run it again because every opponent will have the film on it and be aware of it.  Toub is a great ST coach and it's a pleasure to have him on our staff.

But the threat of putting both back again could slow the end guys just enough to give Hester an extra second or two needed to break one.

Not that the Bears would do it all the time but at the opportune moment in a big game.

The officiating sucked in that game. That still doesn't excuse the sloppy play of everyone on the team. The Packers are better and everyone knew it going into the game, so the outcome wasn't a huge shocker.

The holding call on Graham was holding against the gunner coming off the line of scrimmage...

“It unfortunate that something we worked so hard on would be called back because of a play by me,” Graham said. “It was maybe 30, 40 yards away from the play. It wasn’t blatant but it was just a bad play by me. I should have just let him go, just don’t even touch him. He had nothing to do with the play.

The Bears returned to running the ball with a vengeance today, piling up well over 200 yards on the ground.  It was nice to see after the past two weeks for sure.  The passing game was scaled back to allow for the backs to thrive and that was a good thing.  The run blocking opened some nice holes and the pass blocking was solid at times.  Cutler remained upright most of the day and didn't get obliterated.

The bad part was we allowed over 500 yards of offense and were damn lucky Carolina shot themselves in the foot time and again.  Cam Newton is the real deal.

Oh yeah, some guy named Hester set an NFL record for career punt returns for TDs with his 11th.  Even with every ST coach scheming to stop him, he continues to get it done.  Simply amazing.

If we play like we did today against Detroit, we're gonna lose by 40.

I think Chicago figured it out.   Don't let Cutlet throw the ball.   Lessens the chance of interceptions(and he did manage a really bad one despite putting the ball in the air only 17 times).

That ball was actually pretty well thrown, over the coverage into the TE's hands who let it go right thru them.  There were two other egregious drops as well.

Oh, c'mon now.   I know bashing Cutlet is fun, and most of us take it to the extreme, but the TE would have had to have been somewhere in the range of Yeti-sized to catch that one.   Do the Bears have a Sasquatch?

Right thru his hands.

"muddy is right.  I should have caught it."

Right now, that guy would be 1st on our WR depth chart,
