Wow, that round helped a lot - five out of six!  Of course, because four of them were SPs I now have over 1200 quality innings from five starters.  I know no trades can be made during the selection process, but that doesn't mean we can't negotiate now - if anybody's looking for SPs down the road, let me know!
I have 2 relief pitchers.  Hope they're durable.
Sounds like you need to go to the Tommy Lasorda School of Bullpen Management.

It looks like 15 sets of picks are in.  I have not made mine yet and of course have not opened anyone's yet.  I will send mine out soon, and open the other people in the morning, except those people who have not opened mine.

I will say these are pretty fun leagues to play in.  Lots of different strategies and I have had some really good teams where I got one or two stud pitchers and some .500 or so teams with mediocre at best pitching.  The fun part for me is seeing guys who I would rarely pick or would never pick become suddenly prize possesions when you realize yes I was smart enough to pick a platoon at 3rd base and get .250/.322 9hrs and 70 rbis out of the 7 hole with decent fielding in another version of this league.

I'm toast.  I'll be amazed if my team doesn't win the runs allowed title.

18 sets of picks are in, good night

Through the 3rd round:  My 3 starting pitchers have WHIPs = 1.12, 1.13, 1.19.  A RL WHIP greater than 1.05 is usually a disaster in WIS.  And my only position player has AVG = .287 with no power.  My one star player, relief ace Bruce Sutter, is probably going to have a tough season because he will be overworked.

This is my first time in this league, but my guess is there will be a few very strong teams (the ones that rostered most of their early picks), and the rest of us will scramble to stay out of the cellar.

Not necessarily so.  Sure, a couple teams end up with poor rosters but generally the league is no more or less 'unbalanced' than other leagues.

The draft has a way of evening things out.  Some teams do get lucky early, but then may go four or five rounds and only get three more players while othe teams fill out solid all-around rosters while lacking star-power from the first few rounds.

It looks like 21 sets of picks are in

No one, so far, has lost everything.  One of the people with 5 or less correct picks through three rounds has lost none in round four - so far

Just need one set of picks, Wedhead36, and the person who had lost none has now been touched.
