I took Grant Hill because I needed the ast% and his rebounding at SF is a big advantage.

I am using 88-89 Jordan at the point.

I felt like a had a decent shot to do that last year...I am always my own worst enemy.  This year it was too few rebounds I feel.  Last year TO's were the issue.  I feel like I am getting closer even drafting from back.  I just don't understand how some guys get high first rounders draft after draft and still seem to find a way to blow it.

Oh well...I tend to learn things from the evals.  Not just about my teams, but about the mindsets of the people that put together winners.  The stats are worthless without a reasonable dissemination of the information.

13) captainzen - Chris Paul, Shawn Kemp, Tracy McGrady, Troy Murphy, Lamar Odom, Roy Tarpley, Mike Bibby

I think TMac was a pretty bad pick for your team. You had Paul and Kemp, two guys with pretty high usage and high efficiency, at that point, but TMac will take shots away from the two of them, give you extra usage you didn't need, and occasionally shoot you out of games. He isn't all that efficient for a 52 mil team, and while he does bring more to the table I just don't think it's a good fit for what you had already. Nothing all that wrong with the last couple picks, you should at least have a good rebounding team with that starting five, and the team still probably has a good chance to make the playoffs, just not as good as it could have been.

14) 98average (1) - Jason Kidd, Manu Ginobili, Willis Reed, Tree Rollins, Rudy Tomjanovich, Patrick Ewing, Antonio McDyess

I will be watching this team with interest. I love the first two picks - aside from low-ish minutes, Kidd and Manu are the dream backcourt pairing - and the last three are extremely unconventional, and I am fascinated to see how this comes out. Rudy T's best season looks like it could be really good, and unless I miss my guess he'll be playing some SG for you. You should dominate the boards, and defense is great too. The only questions are how this works out offensively, and if your team can keep from committing 30 fouls per game. Hardest team to project so far IMO, due to what I would consider a rather unique construction, but I think it makes the playoffs.

15) ashamael - Magic Johnson, Kevin Durant, Marques Johnson, Kris Humphries, Joakim Noah, Rodrique Beaubois, Dan Gadzuric

Haha - I am with you that the usage-hog, SG gunner is not my favorite guy to have, but here we are, you with KD and me with Dr. J (we'll get to my team later). KD all depends on how many FT he shoots - due to that insane 90% rate, it's all about if he can get in that 500-600 FTA range in the SIM. If he does, he's actually pretty efficient. If not...not as much. But the rest of this team is built beautifully, with some names that are on my teams all the time. Rebounding should be very good, defense isn't great but should be good enough. Assists are a little on the low side, especially when Magic goes out, so hopefully that doesn't pull you down on offense (probably fine). We all know this team will make the playoffs, the only question is how far it goes - I'll guess to the Conference Finals, but it all depends on matchups in the playoffs.

16) vancem - Karl Malone, Shawn Marion, Tom Boerwinkle, Jerry West, Emeka Okafor, Jameer Nelson, Nick Anderson

Love Malone, at any cap. Marion is the high-board SF you need next to him. I think every piece of this team fits well, except for West. Not a huge fan of him, he'll take shots from the Mailman, and I just can't remember people having much success with him. But he does give you good D, at least. Overall, this seems to be a pretty well balanced team. Should be in the playoffs, could make a run.

17) scudmissle - Ben Wallace, Bill Walton, Anfernee Hardaway, Vince Carter, Carlos Boozer, Danny Granger, Connie Hawkins

Oh man, I love the first three picks here. Not as high on the rest of them, but nothing seriously wrong here. Rebounds should be fine. Assists should be ok. Defense is good. All depends on how efficient you are offensively - but you don't have to be amazing for the defense and boards to take you to the playoffs, and that's where this team should go.

18) 98average (2) - Artis Gilmore, Tim Duncan, Bill Bridges, Mark Price, Robert Horry, Terrell Brandon, Scott Burrell

Powerful frontcourt for sure, all depends on how the backcourt holds up. I'm not quite sure what season's you'll go with here, or who the starter at PG is, but you should have good rebounding, pretty good defense (maybe some issues with flexibility, but overall D is high enough that it shouldn't be a problem), and probably enough threes too. I keep almost picking Burrell, people don't pay enough attention to him IMO. Looks like a solid squad to me.

19) ncih - Kevin Garnett, Jerry Lucas, Bob Lanier, Terry Porter, Stephan Curry, Steve Kerr, Andrew Bynum

Wow...what a powerful frontcourt this is. I don't really like Garnett's SF seasons all that much - and he won't be able to defend the 4 and 5 because neither Lanier or Lucas can defend the 3 - but this sure has a nice mix of scoring/rebounding. The backcourt will bring the assists and scoring, and rebounds are hardly important after that frontcourt. I have concerns about this team defensively, though. There is no particularly strong backcourt defender; I also wonder about assists when Kerr is in. I think this is a solid team, but not a real contender - probably playoffs, won't go far.

20) malone9975 - Kobe Bryant, Dikembe Mutombo, Deron Williams, Josh Smith, AC Green, Walter Berry, Mark Landsberger

eh...not a huge fan here, I must admit. I don't think Kobe is a 1st round pick at 52 mil, period, but that's mainly because he isn't really my style. Just not efficient as I would like. I also think this looks like a weak rebounding team, which is not good when your top scorer isn't very efficient, considering one of Smith or Green has to play the 4. This team does have good defense, though, and Berry is a creative backup choice - he'll help the offensive rebounding some. I'm just not sold that the scoring and rebounding is enough to make this team great. Maybe makes the playoffs in a weak division, but I'm guessing you fall just short.

21) dh555 - Larry Bird, John Stockton, Robert Parish, Pau Gasol, Dale Davis, Michael Redd, Cedric Ceballos

Never been a big fan of Stockton. but he does bring monster efficiency and assists. And this team certainly should be efficient offensively. My worry is rebounding for this squad, but Ceballos definitely helps with that. But you seem a little weaker on the defensive boards, I think you needed more defensive and fewer offensive boards given how efficient your team should be. You have a lot of scorers here, and I think a lot of usage - did you pay for a little too much? My guess is yes without running the numbers, but that may be wrong. Gasol is an odd choice when already having Bird and Stockton - you don't need his assists, and you could have used more boards. D should be pretty solid here, though. Overall I think the efficiency is enough to carry you far, but the rebounds could be the Achilles' heel. All depends on playoff matchups, but I don't think this is a title team.

22) tarheel1991 - Julius Erving, Scottie Pippen, Anthony Mason, Red Robbins, Ryan Anderson, Jon Barry, Mike Miller

Well, well...my own team. Won't say a lot here, other than I'm a little disappointed with what I built. I still think this is a playoff team, but probably not a division champ. I really want to see Dr. J get a title, I think we underrate him as a group. But I'm not sure I'm giving him the best shot here. Honestly the last three picks might be the most important - the lower-usage efficiency beasts who need to make shots to keep the heat off Dr. J. We'll see.

23) xxevilivexx (2) - Hakeem Olajuwon, Chauncey Billups, Bobby Jones, Walt Frazier. Charlie Edge, Manute Bol, Mark Eaton

Ah...the old block party strategy. Good luck, but I haven't seen it pay off yet. I always preach the value of defense, but offensive efficiency still comes first. Yours isn't bad, but I don't think it's good enough. The Dream never seems to produce well enough. Who will you get to back up Billups and Frazier? A lot of minutes for a non-draftee to fill. Like I said, good luck, but I don't see this team getting much above .500. Probably misses the playoffs.

24) chris_snid - Gary Payton, Oscar Robertson, Kevin Willis, Samuel Dalembert, Elden Campbell, Gheorghe Muresan, Kyle Lowry

Don't like Payton much in a 52 mil. Like Willis even less at this cap, due to defense and lack of efficiency. Campbell is also an underwhelming SF. You'll rebound well for sure, but I don't see Payton and Robertson carrying a 52 mil team on offense (although I do think dh won with Payton a couple seasons ago). Your frontcourt will also get torn to pieces on D by the dominant big men in the league. No playoffs here.

nice job tarheel....thanks for finishing them

regarding my team....gasol was actually picked more for his defense believe it or not...at that point in the draft he was one of the best available with a d over 60 that could rebound, not foul, and still shoot well from the field....surprisingly im about a +10 on the boards through 6 games...parish is rebounding his *** off and im getting good boards from the redd/ceballos sg spot....i dont expect to dominate the glass all year but i should end up getting more than my opponents....right now it looks like  tunrovers and fouls will be the teams main problem
