I understand the concern that some owners would just take the best teams and then bail, but to set up a schedule to me kind of takes away from the original "super secret" idea.

I agree, takes all the fun and strategy out of the theme.  I am for the 600 rule. 

Sigh, I guess busterglen was right - *Those facts show that some teams don't belong in this kind of league*, so I am withdrawing my claim for the Indians.

I have some thoughts on the suggestions, but I am wondering if the league would be better served with another commish.  I am in NO WAY saying that in anger at all.  In a perfect world everyone signs up and stays forever and it is a simple secret choice each year....but I know that is not so realistic.

I am not sure I want to do all the tracking necessary to make it work, but I do like the original idea I had.

So....maybe someone else that feels strongly might want to take over?

I WILL soon post my opinions on what I would prefer as league rules.....but if someone else takes over as commish I would let them make final decisions.

Thoughts?   Again....I think somehow someway this could be a great league, but you all have brought up valid, legit points as to how my original idea has some flaws. 

I'm happy with dn's original idea and rooting for a perfect world.  But the discussion has been fun.

I just want to be totally clear.....I have not been upset by the suggestions or turned off or anything like that.   I am very happy with the great interest the league has generated.   I am just recognizing that maybe someone would be better running it than me that's all.

Don't think so, dn.  Your idea, your baby.  We all signed up based on the original.  Run with it.
