Do you at least understand that "This is right and anyone who disagrees with me is an idiot" can be a discussion stopper?
This is rich. You use that line of defense more than anyone on this site.
I've already said that.    Keep up or shut up.

You know what's fun? When you're away from the forums for a few days and see a new thread that looks interesting, and it turns out it's a thread about this.  Yay.

FWIW, is it possible that Gomez thinks both Moose and Morris are HOFers but recognizes Mussina has more time on the ballot than Morris does, so Morris gets the vote?
Except I don't think he used all 10 spots - he had room to add others if he thought they were fit to add.

I don't read all your drivel. Good to see you're finally acknowledging what a know-nothing, pompous *** you are though. Carry on.

For ****'s sake.  "1st ballot Hall of Famer".    While most of us think "He's a HOFer or he's not", many of the people with votes reserve 1st ballot for the "special" players.    If nothing else, Mussina isn't one of those guys.

You're right.

Gomez is an idiot.

As opposed to those rare and special "15th Ballot Hall of Famers" like Morris?

Then that's stupid then.

Also, "first-ballot HOFer" is also stupid.  He's a HOFer or not.  It's not like there's another wing for the "first-ballot" guys.

Your opinion means so much to me.

Tell us about Larry Bigbie's 40/40 season.    Or who the next .400 hitter is.

Anyone who calls you an idiot is undoubtedly right and justified in doing so.

Yea, let's make sure we mention guys like Gossage and Blyleven and Morris as "last-gasp HOFers."

This.

The funny thing with votes is that the guy who has them can use them as he sees fit.

And even though the HOF vote is largely unimportant, let's call for his job.

Oooo, good one. It's good to see you've come up with some new material after, what, 8 years?

Yep, I predicted Bigbie had the potential to be a 40/40 guy and I was way off. He had a lot of potential at the time - I don't feel stupid for throwing it out there. And I asked for people's opinions on if a guy hitting .390 in June could possibly hit .400. That's just lunacy!

For a guy who thinks he's so smart, you sure lack for new material. You spend all your time regurgitating the same old crap or trying to twist people's arguments into things they're not even saying. I feel so bad for your wife - but I guess she chose to marry you, so she gets what she deserves.

Would you rather talk about the similarity of Manning and Schaub's availability?   I still don't know why you haven't eaten a bullet sandwich for that piece of dumbassery.
1/7/2014 2:54 PM
Only because you twisted my words into "dumbassery". You said Schaub is only available because he sucks. I pointed out that other good QBs have been made available, and gave you an example in Manning.

And of course, putting the MikeT School of Debate curriculum to work, you immediately went to "HE SAID SCHAUB IS EQUAL TO MANNING!! DUMBASS!!"

You're a troll, plain and simple. You love the attention. Come on, Chunk, give us the Truffle Shuffle.

IMO, it's silly.  And I hope they refer to Morris as a "last-gasp HOFer." Stay consistent.
