You'd think somebody from B.C. would have just a tad of a clue about rivers............ but apparently he prefers the bliss of ignorance to any real knowledge and understanding of what is. But fine, you can't argue/debate with other human beings that refuse to abide basic fact and prefer to believe in a fairy tale. Humans didn't "evolve from monkeys." Both humans and monkeys evolved from a similar starting point, a shared ancestor species.

The evidence for evolution is overwhelming. Lostnfound does make me laugh, though.

How can you say it is a theory and then say the evidence is overwhelming?

I have many scientific points to make about evolution and the lack of evidence for it including quotes and admissions to many gaps and still unexplainable presupposition and much hypothesization from some of the leading proponents of said theory.

Wish I had time to read over some of this stuff but we got guys down at work and I'll be busy all week. Later.

I’ll bet his take on “someone is lying” started right around the time someone first questioned him about “worshipping” a supposed WHITE middle eastern man who was born via “MAGIC” and then became an honest-to-goodness, good old-fashioned ZOMBIE when he got whacked by his own people, those pesky, murderin’ jews.

Gravity is also a theory. The laws of motion are theories. Heliocentrism is a theory. The earth being round is a theory.

See, in scientific terms, a "theory" is a hypothesis that has repeatedly been tested and supported. It's about the strongest statement you can make, since it's hard to impossible to definitively prove anything.

When something is written in the old testament, think to yourself: "does this actually make sense, or does this seem like something written about people who lived thousands of years ago BY people that to us lived thousands of years ago." Also, learn about figurative language, please and thank you!

Oh, and also: you can believe that the earth and the universe was created by God, while not looking like a dumbass. Here's what you do: take the old testament stories about creation and view them figuratively, and then realize that scientific processes like evolution might be the methods by which God created everything.

Bait cast................My daddy once gave me a little card and told me to put it in my wallet and think about it from time to time. I was probably 17 or 18 at the time. Circa early '70's. The card had a fish on it with a fishing line leading from it's mouth to the top of the card.......... and below the pic was the verbiage:

"Even a Fish would stay out of trouble IF it kept it's mouth shut"

From time to time I think about that still, and once in a while I employ the advise.
