He has good splits(league average or better), great velocity, GB and two fantastic pitches.   Why he's having success isn't much of a mystery.  Even his "mediocre" control isn't that horrible.

With all of the time you have invested, which rating on the player card do you think you've looked at the least when looking at a player? Push/pull? Bunt? Temper?

That befuddles me.  The only reason I can think of is they play in 'tard worlds were collecting 85 spits is easy so, if they get stuck with a 70, they assume he must suck.

I didn't even look to see where he played.   That certainly helps.  But he's a good pitcher anywhere.

Pitching ratings for hitters.    You pretty much hit on it with your question.  Of the ratings I think have an affect on the game, catcher range/glove don't get any play with me.

I missed 3-4 days once.  It's usually pretty quiet on Sat/Sun but there were about 25-30 waiting when I checked in.   I split it up into 4 blocks.

Unless you have a team full of fast guys with good baserunning skils, 5 usually doesn't work very well.   I'd start at 4(since you seem to believe you should steal a lot) and check the stats after 10-15 games.   If you're successful 80% of the time, bump it to 5.   If you're successful less than 70%(my personal cut-off), move it to 3.
