If you had paid any attention to my squad you would have realized I didn't need another starter so Lincecum was yours.

Wow.
I didn't pay any attention to your squad, but if I had, I'd have done the same thing. You have 4 starters, true, but you also have no glaring holes - not like you are totally without a 2B so I could be entirely certain you'd pick one. If I had to guess I'd say you'll either take a reliever or a C, but why should I guess and take the chance of missing on the starter I need when I can instead play the skip card - which is after all a part of the game, with this its intended use.

Hell, even if there were a glaring hole in your squad I may have done the same thing, simply because your teams are usually better than average, so I'd rather have you picking at the end of the wild card round and everyone else a spot earlier in case you wind up in my league. That too would be playing within the rules for sake of strategy (i.e. to improve my chances), not to be an *******.

If you just wanted to say sorry, part of the game I'm going to stick it to you I'd have a little more respect for the move even if I wouldn't have done the same. But you didn't say that, you said, oh, I need to make sure I get Lincecum who would never have been at risk of being taken. Perhaps I overeacted but at the end of the day no big deal.

Yeah; I'm not worried about it and probably would have been just as mad if I'd been skipped, since really needed another part.

Said "sorry wanted to be sure to get Lincecum" initially because that was my motivation at the time - I hadn't looked at your team at all and wanted to grab him ASAP since I lucked out and got a proxy from Taint. But ever since I checked out the 25th round order, I was thinking I'd skip you if I got the chance (which I didn't expect would happen), since your team would probably be good.

Yes. From the rules: "Once a skip card is played by ANY owner, another one may not be used by any other owner in that round."
