Explains a lot. You were the nerd weren't you?

I am probably the only non-nerd on this site.   This is, far and away, the nerdiest thing I've ever done.   If I weren't married and in my 40s, I can't imagine that I'd spend any amount of time with internet games.

Have you stalked Kelly LeBrock since the release of Weird Science?

How many times do you suppose it's happened in major league history that a pitcher allows nine runs in the first inning to put his team behind 9-0 but stays in the game longer than the opposing pitcher?

If it happened before, it had to be back in the dark ages before they invented bullpens.   I can't imagine how ****** the manager must be at the guy to say "Screw it.  Let him get out of this mess."

One of my coworkers' kids played in a Little League All Star game last night. His team was up 5-2 when their starting pitcher, approaching the pitch limit, walked the leadoff man in the fourth (I think). A new pitcher entered the game and proceeded to walk 14 (or 16, depending on whether you believe my coworker or his wife) batters before finally being pulled.

Out of my coworker and the All Star team's head coach, which one do you think was the father of the relief pitcher?

Also, out of my coworker and the All Star team's assistant coach, which one do you think was the father of the THIRD pitcher of the inning, who finished things up in a nice 21-5 loss?

When Brett says the ankle is not where he wants it to be, does he mean that it WILL be where he wants it to be once two-a-days are over?

Is it going to rain today?

I'm gonna say that's one sucky All-Star team if they have pitchers who walk 14(or 16).   I don't even care what the age was.   I've coached as young as 8 y/o and we had at least three guys who could throw the ball over the plate 3 out of 6.    But, to answer your question, I'm guessing the third pitcher was the co-worker's son.   And, if the A/S coach's son was the 2nd pitcher, he really did his kid a disservice.  That's not a confidence builder nor do it make you popular with the pre-teen ladies.

The only place it can be is between his shin and his foot.   But I think the world knows he has no interest in two-a-days.  Fortunately, his ballpolisher, Childress, doesn't care.

Of course.  It always rains somewhere.

This comment was recently made in American Pastime: "deanod...you are a douchebag".  How much truth does this statement hold?

I think whoever made the comment took it easy on deano.
