There is talk that the Big Ten football conference may look to pick up a 12th team so that they can split into two divisions and have a conference championship game. Notre Dame would be a logical choice to join, but they have been reluctant to give up their independent status in the past.

1) Do you Big Ten expansion is a good idea?

2) Should Notre Dame give up their independence and finally join a BCS conference?

3) If not Notre Dame, then who should the Big Ten turn to?

Conference championships are a nice payday. So I'm sure the Big Ten thinks it's a good idea. I think it's stupid that there are 11 teams in the Big Ten.

Notre Dame isn't giving up their independent status until it's a good idea. I don't know how they'd benefit from joining the Big Ten until their personal TV deal expires.

Big Ten will probably just steal someone from the MAC. I'm sure a MAC team would jump at Big Ten money.

Will you think it's less stupid when there are 12 teams in the Big Ten?

Also, what will the new conference logo look like?
12/12/2009 5:20 PM
What are they going to call the conference if they get a 12th team? There is a Big 12 Conference that would kick the crap out of the Big 10's twelve teams, would they not?
12/12/2009 7:46 PM
No, it will be equally dumb. But Big Twelve is taken.

If it has "10" in it, somebody should be donkeykicked in the sack.

They'll probably stick with Big Ten since it didn't bother them when they added an 11th team.

I don't know. Texas would beat Ohio State. Nebraska/Okie State vs. Iowa/Penn State would be interesting match-ups. The "middle" teams are all mucked up. You couldn't pay me to watch Michigan/Indiana vs. Baylor/Kansas.

Did you watch "The U" 30 for 30 last night on ESPN?

I did not. I went to a party.

can toby gerhart overcome his whiteness to be a quality NFL runningback?

Unlikely. Unless he has good hands.

You heard him.

why do so many people cry about their players no longer hitting 80 HR's and their team built with crappy guys that used to hit .275 with 65 HRs now suck?
12/13/2009 3:32 PM
Because this site is loaded with crybabies.
